NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK SAFARI

Its known as the world’s only wildlife capital or the urban safari. The park is 117sq km, the park excursions include pick up and drop off from the airport, 4hours game drive and wild viewing. Visitors are able to discover African wildlife in the capital and also enjoy a Nairobi National park game drive/safari in an open top safari vehicle. The wildlife includes; rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and over 400 species of birds. The visitors also enjoy parks picnic sites and campsites.
ANIMAL ORPHANAGE AND SAFARI WALK
These are sanctuaries located in the Nairobi Park. Safari Walk is about 2.4km (45min-1hr walk), it has raised boardwalks that allows for uninterrupted views of the animals, and it’s a showcase of what to see in Kenyan parks. It has major ecosystems, variety of animals, children’s museum and a variety of wildlife, it’s also an educational centre. Animal Orphanage is 40mins walk, it serves as a rehabilitation centre for wild animals. It hosts the big cats mostly like lions, leopards, cheetah and some big cats. It’s advisable to visit during the afternoon to see the feeding of the animals.DAVID SHELDRICKS ELEPHANT ORPHANGE
It’s a rescue and rehabilitation centre for baby elephants. It’s located a few minutes from the Nairobi National Park. The nursery is always open for one hour (11am-12pm).It provides the 1st stage in the hand rearing and development of milk dependant baby elephants. Visitors can also adopt the elephants.
GIRAFFE CENTRE
It preserves Rothschild Giraffe by being a breeding centre. Visitors get a chance to feed the giraffes and take pictures, they can also stay at the popular Giraffe ManorNAIROBI NATIONAL MUSEUM
The Museum represents Kenya’s rich heritage and offers a one stop for visitors to sample the country’s rich heritage. It’s located in Nairobi, a 10mins drive from the city.

OSTRICH FARM

It’s well organised recreational activity which involves a walk as you see the ostriches in their secure environment. Visitors get to see Ostrich eggs. The downy and Ostrich chicks. They also enjoy unique and secure rides on trained ostriches under the instructor or guide.
KITENGELA BRIDGE
Described as the scariest the scariest bridge by some of the visitors who crossed the swaying bridge. Crossing it can be nerve wracking especially when its windy.
KEREITA FOREST
Located a few kilometres from the city. Kereita Forest offers adventurous activities which include: Famous Zip lining, Paint Balling, Archery, Horse riding Bicycle riding and nature walks.
